Charybdis

Charybdis’s body is a pulsing orb of flesh dominated by an immense mouth ringed with rows upon rows of razor-sharp teeth. Irregular fins, flippers, tails, and the occasional arm and leg, cover the rest of its surface, forming a trailing trunk off its backside. He most often resides in the seas, where he forms vast and terrible whirlpools, but is capable of flight as well, and may create great winds by consuming great quantities of air.

Charybdis’s dogma focuses on indulging hungers in all manifestations, although there IS a particular focus on literal physical hunger. This extends to addictions, obsessions, compulsions, fetishes, etc; Charybdis teaches complete surrender to these feelings, and rewards its followers by redoubling their urges upon themselves, moving them ever faster into a pure crazed frenzy. Cannibalism is also a key element, as Charybdis teaches that existence is defined through consumption. Each person is said to be born flawed, for humans are not granted whole souls, and the only way to achieve perfection is by eating the bodies of others to absorb their aspect. Cults to Charybdis are horrific and unsettling, and maintain strong numbers as Charybdis constantly seeks out new minds in which to awaken dark desires. He takes great pleasure in cursing mortals with bloody compulsions, then bringing them under into his fellowship and watching as they push themselves deep into madness.
